The University of Washington (UW), Department of Medicine Division of Endocrinology and Nutrition is currently recruiting for a position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Clinical Practice. Specific rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications as generally described in UW's Faculty Code Section 24-34. Full-/part-time status is negotiable. Estimated start date is January 1, 2025, specific start date is negotiable.In addition to clinical work, teaching, scholarship, and service are integral to all Clinical Practice positions. The initial appointment period will be three years, at a minimum, with eligibility for renewal thereafter. Faculty on the clinical practice track hold multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. Clinical Practice track appointments are not eligible for tenure.Accepting online applications starting July 8, 2024.The University of Washington, Department of Medicine, Division of Metabolism, Endocrinology and Nutrition is accepting applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE) faculty member at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Clinical Practice. The position is a full-time annual appointment based at the University of Washington Endocrine Care clinic and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center on the Montlake campus and South Lake Union sites respectively.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities will include the outpatient management of individuals with Endocrine neoplasia, the evaluation and management of individuals with thyroid nodules, including ultrasound guided fine needle aspiration, and the management of individuals with Endocrine neoplasia including thyroid carcinoma, adrenocortical carcinoma, pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors, pheochromocytoma, and endocrinologic complications of cancer therapy. Other responsibilities will include inpatient Attending oversight of an Endocrine Fellow managed inpatient general Endocrine consult service. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to earn expertise and accreditation in radiofrequency ablation.CompensationThe base salary range will be: $16,700 - $21,700 per month ($200,400 - $260,400 annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization.
