above***Job Summary:The Apple team responsible for building Disney+
is seeking a Build & Release Engineer who will be an outstanding
addition to our team. We are looking for a talented and
detail-oriented engineer to manage and improve our Continuous
Integration (CI) pipeline for the iOS, Apple TV, and Apple Vision
Pro applications. In this role, you will be responsible for
maintaining and enhancing the automation of our build and release
pipeline, ensuring efficient and reliable delivery of the Disney+
app. Your work will be crucial in driving the efficiency of our
development lifecycle and enabling smooth deployment of apps across
Apple platforms.Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:
- Build improvements to the CI/CD process for the iOS, tvOS and
visionOS Disney+ apps, aiming for faster build times and fewer
errors.
- Troubleshoot and resolve build issues and failures, providing
support to developers to minimize downtime.
- Automate manual steps in the build and release process to
reduce human error and improve efficiency.
- Develop and maintain tools to monitor build health,
performance, and stability.
- Ensure that all builds meet Apple's versioning, signing, and
configuration standards.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest build tools, technologies, and
best practices for Apple platform development.Required Education,
Experience/Skills/Training:Basic Qualifications:
- A desire to learn and grow with the team, while also sharing
your own insights.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer
Engineering, or related field.
- At least 5 years of industry experience in a build and release
engineering role with a focus on mobile apps
- Hands-on experience with build tools such as Xcode, Fastlane,
Jenkins, or similar CI/CD systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for identifying
bottlenecks and inefficiencies in development workflows.
- Strong understanding of iOS, tvOS, and visionOS build systems,
app signing, provisioning profiles, and the App Store submission
process.
- Strong self-management skills with the ability to set
priorities and execute independently.Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Apple developer tools and environments (Xcode,
TestFlight, etc.).
- Experience writing in Swift, Ruby or other scripting
languages.
- Experience with release management and deployment tools
specific to Apple platforms.
- Knowledge of performance optimization for mobile app build and
release pipelines.
