POSITION TITLE: Pediatric Dentist

POSITION DUTIES:

Will provide pediatric patients with preventive and operative dentistry. This includes diagnosing and prescribing dental treatment plan for the patients; prescribing appropriate medications for pain and infections; performing fillings after removing decay from the tooth and placing crowns and/or brides (a permanent fixed prosthetic); and extracting teeth that are diseased and replacing teeth with fixed or non-fixed prosthetic's when required. Will provide patients with oral hygiene instruction and patient education for prevention of tooth decay.

May require travel to other dental offices in Federal Way MSA.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

1) D.D.S. or D.M.D, or the foreign degree equivalent;
2) Licensed in Dentistry with a current Washington state license,
3) 2 years of experience in a pediatric dental setting, including 2 years of experience in each of the following:
--- Obtaining accurate data on each patient through medical histories, study models, and radiographs;
--- Examining, evaluating, and treating pediatric patients;
--- Providing preventive, therapeutic, and restorative dental care;
--- Referring patients when treatment modalities are not available at the clinic;
--- Maintaining a sterile/disinfected environment in the delivery of oral care;
--- Educating the patient and parent/guardian in the prevention of dental caries and other dental conditions;
--- Attending and participating in meetings of the Clinic Staff;
--- Providing input on the performance and technical skills of the dental auxiliary staff; and,
--- Performing dental procedures for pediatric patients under General Anesthesia, including root canals, wisdom tooth extraction, dental extractions, and treatment of abscesses and infections.

Experience and education can be gained concurrently. Experience may include internship experience gained as part of academic studies.

LOCATION OF
EMPLOYMENT: Position at Ellen Polsky DDS & Bobby Virk DMD, PS dba Kids Choice Dental Federal Way located in Federal Way, WA; 40 hours per week. May require travel to other dental offices in Federal Way MSA.

SALARY: $132,184 - $350,000 per year.
