• 4+ years hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying data processing applications and frameworks.
• Proficient in Go/Java, with understanding of recent language features and frameworks. Expertise at building jobs with Apache Spark using Scala is highly desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of SQL databases. Experience with distributed and cloud storage systems such as HDFS, S3, etc.
• An ability to communicate with users and drive adoption, to troubleshoot and diagnose issues, and to work effectively with teams adopting our tools.
• Ability to write and deploy well-tested production code. A drive for modern software engineering practices.
• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding of data storage technologies, for example: serialization, schemas, file and table formats for large-scale data processing. Understanding of formats such as Apache Iceberg and Parquet is a benefit.At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
